Stop for a second and admire color

I remember this day as one of the most adventure-packed, spontaneous days of my freshman experience.

Natalie and I went to a farmer’s market in downtown Chicago on one of the nicest days we have seen in a while. We got all dressed up, just for fun.

We had a great time walking around the produce and snacking on local foods in a park in the middle of the city. There were lots of great photo opportunities, so naturally, we took advantage of them.

In trying to get around, we walked around looking for bus stops. We happened upon this gorgeous neighborhood full of multi-story apartments and/or townhouses. We stopped to grab pictures.

I’ll never forget the quaint beauty of this particular homefront, with its bright blue door, classic red-brick structure, and row of bright flowers.

And Natalie managed to capture the sunny day in the windows’ reflection!

That was one of the happiest days I remember.

Afterwards, we ate lunch at Shake Shack and walked around, posing for pictures in front of Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming’s statue series “Gentlemen” near the Langham, a luxurious hotel in Chicago.

Very little of this day was planned.

We looked cute, so why not find cute murals to be our backdrop?

I felt like a star that day.
