“I Like You…”: An Angsty Junior High Poem

You brighten up everyday,

with that dazzling smile,

I think about you always,

and once in a while,

I think,

You make me glad,

When my heart is sinking

and when you look at me,

feeling our hearts are linking

 

and I think that

you may not know it,

but sometimes I wish so bad

that together we could have

the most fun we both had,

 

and now I think,

I have to get this straight,

will you please notice me

All you have to do

is look farther than you see,

and realize that I like you…

and realize that I like you, so now I ask,

Do you like me?
