This Kid I Know: Christina

FullSizeRender (26)We have a joint bucket list that is as full of things to do as it is full of things that we have already done.

It all technically started sometime in Welcome Week, but since I don’t remember meeting her, it all started for me in winter quarter when Christina and I went on a hell of an awkward bubble tea date, where we just asked each other questions to get to know each other.

However, I realized that it differed from other conventional interactions because we seldom stay in one place. On that day we took our KFT’s to go and walked along the beach.

Maybe both of us realize that the world is constantly changing, and if we also want to be, then we have to be out and about discovering as much of it as we can.

The recipe for our friendship is a spoonful of adventure and a dash of spontaneity. And laughter. Lots and lots of laughter. After all, it’s not about the destination, but the journey.

Something that I love about her is the way that she dances. Like she doesn’t give a flying fuck about what anyone else thinks about her, she’s just going to jam out to the music. And you know what? I’m always down to jam with you; you’ll never be without a partner, OKAY COOL? NG NG

No longer will I dread long train rides, because you’ll be there to talk with me and voluntarily make conversation about deep shit.

11138997_10206925736611267_3064825973323068373_nWe’ve stayed up until 6 AM watching the sunrise, and what an experience that was. I’m so glad that you decided to turn around in those final moments as the sun truly broke out from below the horizon and splattered brilliantly across the lake.

This quarter especially has created so many lasting, amazing memories in which you appear. Concerts, 2AM dance parties in the most unconventional of places, CSA, beach days, and more.

Though we do have similar values and think alike a lot of the time, I love hearing about your opinions and experiences, since we’re literally from opposite ends of the country.

Thank you for showing me amazing music, for always having my back, taking the time to listen and show interest in me, and being overall, so so loving.
