When I was little, my mom used to take my sister and I to Costco. One thing that we always tried to keep in our pantry were cans of Kirkland Signature tuna. Homemade tuna salad was an integral part of my childhood food memory.

Today, in one of my journalism lectures, a guest speaker mentioned the phrase “thought leadership” when she was talking about students promoting their own personal brand.

I declare May 23rd Dandelion Appreciation Day. Not to be confused with National Weed Appreciation Day, which celebrates actual weeds and not marijuana. We are fortunate enough to be situated next to Lake Michigan, which is on the east side of our campus. This makes the lakefront the ideal spot to watch the sunrise. Now I know what you may be thinking. Why not just watch the sunset?

I once saw this girl with the most positively shocking hair at a public event. Every inch of hair outside of a 1-inch radius of a tiny little ponytail at the top of her head had been shaved off.
